Textiles with a twist - a celebration of our crafts, with demonstrations and taster sessions was seen at three Highland locations:

28-29 August       Nairn Community Centre
4-5 September     Castletown Heritage Centre, Caithness
25-26 September  Aros Centre, Portree

We were fortunate in receiving funding from The Highland Council’s Highland Culture Fund to help us do this.

Members exhibited an impressive range of articles (see photos).   See the guidelines for more information on our criteria.

Taking the exhibition to different venues enabled us to meet a lot of textile enthusiasts - professionals, keen amateurs and newcomers interested in learning our crafts.  Local members demonstrated at each venue, and some good contacts were made.
